In this course, you will learn about ESG and various ESG regulatory frameworks proposed by the European Union (EU) like, CSRD, ESRS, CSDDD, EUDR, EU Forced Labor Ban and Battery regulation.

You will also learn about the implementation timelines of how these ESG regulatory frameworks are interlinked with each other (EU Green Deal).

This course will also discuss Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) that provide a set of rules and regulations encompassing health, education, climate change, etc.

Section 1: EU ESG Regulatory Frameworks

  • Understand ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and explore the key EU ESG regulatory frameworks — EU Forced Labor Ban, CSRD, ESRS, CSDDD, EUDR, and the EU Battery Regulation — including their purpose, scope, core requirements, and implementation timelines.

Section 2: EU Green Deal – ESG Regulatory Frameworks

  • Examine the EU Green Deal and understand how it connects and interlinks CSRD, ESRS, CSDDD, EUDR, and other ESG regulations under a unified sustainability strategy.

Section 3: United Nations Guiding Principles (UNGP)

  • Distinguish between the UN Guiding Principles and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and understand their role in promoting responsible business practices globally.

Section 4: Knowledge Check

  • Test your understanding of ESG concepts, EU regulatory frameworks, implementation timelines, EU Green Deal alignment, and the distinction between UNGP and SDGs.
